Cheap as it is, nothing here looks like it's going to dethrone the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 and Moto G (3rd generation) as our current go-to budget phones, even if they do cost more. Nuu Mobile is also introducing the slightly pricier, slightly higher-end Nuu Mobile X4, which takes on this last summer's Moto G. Catch all the tech news from CES 2016. The first great smartphone of 2015. Beautiful and bold..with complications. The new no-compromise MacBook. A stellar on-ear headphone. Crave-worthy curves for a premium price.
The Nuu Mobile N5L keeps costs remarkably low for a 5.5-inch phone, but its outdated hardware parts leave no room for excitement, If iphone x screen protectors a $130 price tag (that's about £84 or AU$180) on a 5.5-inch phone sounds like it's too good to be true, you might be right, It all depends on how many concessions you're willing to make for an inexpensive Android phone, For me, outdated parts and the past version of Android software on Nuu Mobile's N5L wouldn't make the grade, at least not on paper, Is it fair to expect this year's Android 6.0 operating system on a bargain device? Maybe, maybe not, but it would give an otherwise meh phone a little sparkle, The one hardware bonus that could counteract the low-powered components could be the two SIM card slots, if you're into that sort of thing, But in general, the N5L's costs are so staggeringly low because the hardware is so entry-level..
The Nuu Mobile X4 is the higher-end of its new devices for 2016. The X4's screen size and resolution, Android software, and front and back camera image sizes match up to Moto's, though Nuu's phone uses a rival brand's processor. It also promises double the internal storage for a lower price than Motorola's 8GB Moto G (details below). On the flipside, the X4 lacks Motorola's water-resistant status and the flexibility of online customizing, which -- in the US at least -- lets you pick out the accent colors you want. Motorola's extra software, some of it context-aware, makes the Moto G more lovable to me and other CNET editors than just the phone's performance alone. With these stakes, we'll be visiting the challenger X4 here in person this week at CES 2016, so stay tuned.
Nuu Mobile also announced the lower-end, larger-screened N5L, but the X4 only costs a little more and trounces the N5L's specs, making it completely irrelevant, The first great smartphone of 2015, Beautiful and bold..with complications, The new no-compromise MacBook, A stellar on-ear headphone, Crave-worthy curves for a premium price, Nuu Mobile isn't letting its status as barely a blip iphone x screen protectors on the radar derail it from trying to conquer Motorola's well-rated budget Android phone, I can't blame phonemakers like Nuu Mobile for trying to dethrone the successful, inexpensive third edition of Motorola's Moto G, or at least capture a little of its pretty-great-for-a-cheap-phone magic, The 5-inch, Android-powered Nuu Mobile X4 wins no points for originality, but it does seem to replicate many of the Moto G's stats -- and that's promising for a lesser-known hopeful..
Could Apple be changing the screen technology in the iPhone?. The move would mark the first substantive change in screen technology for the iPhone since 2010, when Apple released "retina" displays that promised to show so much detail that users wouldn't be able to distinguish what's on the screen from a printed image. Despite that change, Apple has relied on LCD technology since the iPhone's debut in 2007. An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment. Neither LG nor Samsung immediately responded to a request for comment. Previous stories from Japan's Nikkei and others have also claimed Apple is planning to change its display technology within the next couple of years.
Speculation about the next iPhone's features is a sport in the technology industry, Publications large and small chase down hints of what might come next, be it a slimmer profile or a different size, or a new feature like wireless charging, There have even been rumors about what Apple will remove, such as a headphone jack, Sometimes iphone x screen protectors the rumors are correct but Apple ultimately delays the feature to a later iteration of the phone, Other times, reporters pick up on preliminary discussions that Apple is having, And sometimes the rumors are just plain wrong..
