ACT Operations Research has more than 20 years experience on the Control and Automation of several type of Energy Production Facilities: Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG), Coal Fired Power Plants, Once-Through boilers, Nuclear Power Plants, Energy from Waste Plants.
Working on both green-field and brown-field projects, from design to start-up and commissioning has built process and operational knowledge, enabling to propose control and automation functional definition in addition to the control and safety systems design.
We have a wide experience working with EPCs, Boiler manufacturers and End-Users, with Power Plants both used as a standalone power generation facility, as well as integrated facilities inside wider industrial complexes such as petrochemical production units, with the capability of adapting the control and automation strategies to the different control and automations standards.
In the recent years we also more frequently worked on the integration of Advanced Process Control Systems (APCs) for the optimization of the different aspects of the power plant operation (e.g. combustion optimization, emissions reduction, minimizations of reagents utilization etc.).
